The 4-month intensive Artist Development Program provides immersive learning focused on the artist - from song to style. At the completion of the program, you will have the solid foundation necessary to take your career into the spotlight on the big stage. Key learning outcomes include an extensive understanding of the skills and abilities required to successfully deliver in areas such as songwriting, performance, touring, marketing, social media, style, and artist brand identity. You will learn how to package and pitch yourself to industry leaders as a branded artist with talent and skills.
The goal of the Artist Development Program is not to launch a career in four months but to help you understand the process and build the perfect team to assist you in becoming a commercially viable brand. You will work on recordings, photoshoots, and videos, not as a final package, but as training for building your own artist brand and identity. As you move into your career, using the knowledge and skills you have gained in this program, you will have the ability not just to open doors but to be memorable – whether that is when pitching an industry professional or to the audience as you stand in the spotlight.

At Nimbus, students don’t just learn how to record: they will also gain a digital certainty that empowers them to change the world. Our students learn from the ground up, gaining a greater understanding of how computers, hardware, software and networks work, both individually and together, that rivals that of a computer science degree. They're ready for the real world and have the experience and tools to create and change technology through projects that truly represent their passion.
When you have the tools to change a digital world, you have the freedom to alter what you don’t like and improve it. The two most important skills you learn at Nimbus are resourcefulness and autonomy. In the digital world, the absence of freedom is a dependence on others for knowledge and learning. We give you the tools to harness the resources at your disposal to achieve your objectives. These traits aren't inherent outcomes of traditional educational systems, but they're required to thrive in our world today.
The bar is set high in today’s digital world and the traditional education system hasn’t caught up. Employers want critical and analytic thinkers, problem solvers, creatives and those who excel at communication, collaboration and time management. We focus on cultivating these skills, so our students not only have a smooth transition into the industry, they thrive in it.
Each project begins as a challenge – with a brief description, objectives and skills students will learn throughout the project. Project-based work imitates real-world work and encourages students to not just learn time management, but also to build conceptual frameworks of what is and is not important or relevant to a project. This skill of being able to establish structures and boundaries for projects is central to becoming an excellent producer, engineer, or music business person, and pushes students to think critically and learn through failure.
The digital revolution has changed how we access knowledge, and our education systems must adapt. Our curriculum at Nimbus is structured based on the new access to knowledge, the future of the workplace and today’s digital world. We apply practical problem-solving methods that aren’t restricted by age groups, while fostering personalized learning and a strong emphasis on self-appropriation of knowledge.
