Nimbus School of Recording & Media

to Move into New State-of-the-Art Facility on Broadway

Vancouver, B.C. – Nimbus School of Recording & Media will move to a new and upgraded state-of-the-art campus at Broadway and Granville, opening on January 4, 2022, John Robertson, President of Nimbus, announced recently.

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, the Nimbus team moved to an online education offering in order to keep students and staff as safe as possible, and then to blended (in-person and online) classes as restrictions eased. As a result of a strong vision, good management, and students and staff who came together to engage and embrace innovative ways to continue their education in recording and media, Nimbus has done well over the past 18 months. During this time, the management team recognized the opportunity to improve their studios and facility in order to better support students and staff and to continue to meet evolving industry needs. This led to the decision to move to the new facility.

“Our new facility is located in a vibrant part of the Vancouver community at Broadway and Granville,” said Robertson. “It will have new technology for the studios that reflects what is used in the industry today – specifically, audio over IP technology that will allow students to record to and from any room to any other room. This type of platform also allows for seamless recording between separate facilities.” He continued: “Change is a constant in the recording and media industries – and at Nimbus, we know that it is up to us to keep up with what is happening out there in the real world. We will do an even better job of this in our new facility. It’s an exciting time at Nimbus, and we look forward to seeing all of the ways our new studios will benefit our students.”
